BEST-selling author Cath Staincliffe will give an author chat at Barnsley Central Library, Shambles Street, on Monday, 19 July at 11am.
Cath is the author of the popular Sal Kilkenny mysteries and the creator of the ITV series Blue Murder, which starred Caroline Quentin. She is also a member of Murder Squad, a group of seven crime writers from the North of England.
Her latest book “The Kindest Thing” tells the story of a woman who, by honouring her husband’s wish to die, finds herself on trial for his murder.
The morning will include a talk by Cath about her work and also some buns, supplied by the publishers of Cath’s books. Tea and coffee will also be available for a small charge. Following this will be the opportunity to buy copies of her books and have them signed.
Cllr Roy Miller, Cabinet Spokesperson for Customer and Neighbourhood Services, said: “Barnsley Libraries are delighted to be hosting this coffee morning with a difference. I hope that people will take the opportunity to listen to what should prove to be a fascinating talk.”
